For the sixth year, chef Dale Hawkins invites you to his rural farm for an educational farm tour and gourmet meal under a big outdoor pavilion. This is a private event, partnered with the Try This conference. $35
You’ll start with a welcome beverage and appetizer while your host, Chef Dale Hawkins, describes the local food distribution system and the way it fits into the rapidly-growing statewide local foods distribution network. You'll hear about the FARMacy program at the local healthcare clinic, which channels fresh produce from the farm to patients. He’ll lead you on a tour of the working farm, then you’ll enjoy a meal of West Virginia-grown foods in a beautiful outdoor setting.
Dress casually and wear comfortable shoes. You are welcome to bring your own bottle of libations. Vegetarian dinners are available, but additional dietary requests can’t be accommodated.
Tickets ($35 per guest) can be reserved here. Reservations are first-come, first served. Refunds are not available, but you can transfer your seat to friends.
