Course Syllabus:

• Review 3D dental tomographic technology, including potential uses in dentistry
• Review recent publications in oral radiology, including:

o   AAOMR guidelines updated for COVID-19

o   NCRP Report #177, which provides guidelines for state regulations on the use of ionizing radiation

• Review panoramic radiographic interpretation

Course learning objectives: Course attendees should be able to:

• Describe the the emerging new technology of intraoral 3D tomosynthesis
• Discuss updated guidelines for radiographic examinations in the COVID era and the updated recommendations as published in NCRP Report #177
• Describe features of disease processes seen in panoramic radiographs.
