11/19/19 Educating Students from Poverty: Ten Actions to Increase Academic Success

Speaker: Christina Krantz and Laura Smith

Target Audience:

Special Education Teachers, General Education Teachers working with students with IEPs, Instructional Coaches, Administrators, ELL Teachers

22. Provide positive and constructive feedback to guide students' learning and behavior.

 

Description: 

Do you work with students affected by poverty? Do youn eed strategies to help these students be successful? If so, then this session is fo you! Participants will learn about Dr. Ruby Payne's ten actions to educate students. Additional strategies will be shared to support these ten actions.

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
