The approach is rooted in a concrete--semi-concrete--abstract (CSA) methodology of teaching and develops conceptual understanding along the way to procedural understanding. This two-day module focuses on building fraction sense, operations with fractions, connections to decimals, and addressing misconceptions. Participants will also learn how to incorporate several High-Leverage Practices for Special Education into their instruction on fractions.
