Speaker: Annabeth Edens - Social Studies Advisory Panel Member

Target Audience: Teachers, curriculum coaches, instructional coaches, District content process

Description: On the first day of this session, teachers will read through
and plan for the new state social studies standards, facilitated by members of the Advisory Panel charged with writing the standards. The second day, teachers will have the opportunity to break off into grade bands and align current curriculum or plan with teams what the standards will look like at their school. Teachers will leave this session with a better understanding of the standards document, will have time and space to align and plan for curriculum, and acquire the tools to carry information back to their respective schools to aid in implementation at the local level.

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
