2-25-19 School Psych Cadre - English Learners and What is Different in the Evaluation Process, No Fee for Member Districts, $30 Fee for Non Member Districts

Speaker: Ramona Karsner and Cari Sherrets

Target Audience: School Psychologists 

Description: Participants will review current status of laws in evaluation of EL students for special education.  In addition to that, misconceptions with the referral process will be clarified.   School psychs will have new ways of completing the evaluation process for EL students referred for special education.  Finally, participants will leave with a toolkit embedded with resources to use in their district.

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
