Target Audience: ARC Chairpersons, Directors of special education

Description:  

Participants will become familiar with the appropriate documentation of an ARC by reviewing a due process special education file using the KDE 2018 Special Education Record Review Document.  Participants are required to bring two (2) special education due process folders in which they have recently chaired the annual review ARC meeting.  It would be helpful if one of the record had a recent (2018) eligibility ARC meeting. These records will be used to conduct the record reviews.

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
