7-2-18 Decreasing Student Behavior by Increasing Student Engagement- No Fee for Member Districts, $35 for Non Member Districts

Speaker: Laura Ferguson

Target Audience: Any school staff

Description:  When students with disabilities display behaviors that make instruction difficult, engagement in tasks becomes even more difficult.  As professionals we struggle with an understanding of how to begin to engage them in instructional practices. What we do not often understand is that the behaviors could be due to the lack of student engagement.  During this training we will take a look at how student engagement and behaviors effect each other.  Participants will learn strategies for increasing student engagement and decreasing student behaviors.

SLP CEU’s and EILA hours will be applied for.

EILA: Yes
