Target Audience: Any school staff teaching math to students with mild to moderate to severe disabilities.
Description:
This professional learning opportunity will support participants in learning hands-on ways to teach fraction sense to students with mild to moderate to severe disabilities. Topics to be covered include; understanding what a fraction is with a focus on whole, fraction models, fraction reasoning, and partitioning and equivalence. Participants will develop and make materials to use in their classrooms. This training is extended on Friday, July 13 with a separate registration, to Fractions and Beyond.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session.
Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.
Attendance Policy:
If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.
