7-30-18 Kentucky Academic Standards for Mathematics Overview- No Fee for Member Districts, $35 Fee for Non Member Districts

Target Audience: New teachers, teachers new to teaching mathematics, administrators wanting an overview of the Kentucky Academic Standards for Mathematics

Description: Are you new to teaching math?  Are you a new administrator without a background in the math standards?  Then this workshop is for you!  This session will provide an overview of the Kentucky Academic Standards for Mathematics.  Participants will learn how to read the standards, explore big ideas within the grade level standards, investigate connections within their grade level(s), and consider vertical progressions of the standards.  Attention will be given to both the content standards and the 8 Standards for Mathematical Practice.  Resources will be shared for delving more deeply into the standards.

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
