Speaker: Sally Miracle
Target Audience: Any school staff working with students on Alternate Assessment.
Description: Developing written products (research papers, opinion pieces, narratives, informative pieces, etc.) can be difficult for all students. For students on Alternate Assessment developing a writing piece can feel beyond realistic. There are two parts to developing a written piece; first being the development of thought and the second being the actual physical development of the piece of work. This session will provide strategies for teachers to use with their students to develop written pieces of work. Participants will be provided time to make and develop their own materials. Participants may want to bring a computer to work on. SLP CEU’s and EILA hours will be applied for.
EILA: Yes
