7-10-17 Teaching Geometry to Students with Moderate to Severe Disabilities

Speaker: Mark Helton & Sally Miracle

Target Audience: Any school staff teaching students with Moderate to Severe Disabilities

Description:  Data show that students with Moderate to Severe Disabilities struggle with math skills, both academic and functional.  This session will provide participants will practical strategies for teaching basic geometry skills to students with Moderate to Severe Disabilities.   Materials will be provided to use when teaching “hands-on” activities with students.

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
