6-20-17 Novice Reduction Through Guided Reading

Speaker: :   Lisa King, Jimmy Brehm and Julie Strange

Target Audience: Principals, district administrators, instructional coaches, intervention teams, school leadership teams

Description:  In this session, participants will get an over view of balanced core literacy, guided reading and using data to drive PLC discussions to reduce novice readers.  Participants will hear about implementation from school administrators that have successfully put processes and procedures in place to reduce novice through small group guided reading.  This session is great for schools beginning to implement Guided Reading and PLC’s or those that are looking to refine their practices.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
