Description: Does student misbehavior distract you from educating kids?  This session will give teachers information on understanding students who have challenging behaviors. The presenter will focus on practical ideas for beginning teachers, or teachers needing a refresher of new and innovative ideas.  Big ideas include:  easy-to-manage behavior systems, practical ways to handle everyday situations, and structuring the classroom setting for success. The theme for the workshop is treating misbehaviors as an opportunity to instruct; not just an opportunity to punish.
