Speaker: Laura Smith

Target Audience:  K-5 Co-teaching teams  *This session is for co-teaching teams consisting of any combination of general education, special education, ELL, or intervention teachers in a co-teaching environment.

Description:   This session will provide an opportunity for co-teaching teams to explore how different co-teaching models can be better utilized to meet the diversity of student needs in the general education classroom.  Special Education/ELL/Intervention teachers will also examine how components of a guided math lesson may be utilized in a resource setting.

Participants will learn key components and classroom-tested strategies for developing, implementing, and managing a Guided Math model in their classroom.   In addition, participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on interactive small group activities and math learning center ideas through the lense of differentiation.
