Speaker: Therese Willkomm

Target Audience:  General Education and Special Education Teachers, Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapists, Assistive Technology Personnel, Physical Therapists

Description:  Hundreds of assistive technology solutions can be made in minutes using every day tools and materials.  This hands-on learn workshop embraces Benjamin Franklin's famous quote, "Tell me and I forget.  Teach me, and I remember.  Involve me and I learn."  Participants will explore over 100 solutions created with 20 basic tools and materials.   Learn how to create solutions in five minutes or less, five dollars or less and without the need for any power tools, glue or hammer and nails.  Learn how to use tools such as Ratcheting PVC cutter, utility knife, scissors, Loc-Line Pliers, and Coroclaw, for making your own solutions.  Each participant will fabricate 8 different assistive technology solutions to take-home.
