Target Audience: Any middle school or high school staff working with students on Alternate Assessment
Description: Participants, using the book, Unbroken (The Young Adult Adaptation): An Olympian's Journey from Airman to Castaway to Captive by Laura Hillenbrand will learn how to teach non-fiction books to middle school and high school students. Participants are asked to read the book prior to attending the session. Participants will learn strategies for adapting books, content webbing, and developing content based activities for students on Alternate Assessment. Registration for this event will close on week prior to the session.

Attendance Policy:
If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.
