Guided Reading 101

Speaker: Lisa King

Target Audience: Classroom teachers, administrators, instructional coaches  co-teaching teams, interventionists or special education teachers that use small group instruction

Description: 

This session is for teachers new to Guided Reading.  An introduction to Guided Reading using the new resources from Jan Richardson will be provided.  The focus will be using formative assessment and designing differentiated instruction for different levels of readers.  Participants will leave with ideas for preparing for, planning and progress monitoring Guided Reading.

Participants will receive the book, “The Next Steps Forward in Guided Reading”.

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
