New Special Education Teacher Workshop – 2 days September 6 & 7, 2016 

Speaker: Marti Ginter, Christina Krantz, Sally Miracle, Karen King 

Target Audience: New Special Education Teachers or Speech Therapists

Description: This two day workshop will provide due process and IEP training to newly hired special education teachers/speech therapists.  The morning of day one will focus on the role of the special education teacher in the ARC process. The afternoon of day one will provide an overview of the IEP with an emphasis on the annual goals. Day two will provide the following focused sessions: IEP and transition, IEP with embedded behavior, and IEP for low-incidence disabilities. Participants will attend 2 of the 3 sessions based on their caseloads for 2016-17.

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
