Description: Schools create time in the schedule for reading, social studies, science, and math, however, time is not allotted for identifying and dealing with our own emotions, or the emotions of others. The lack of emotional skills can be a barrier for some students to receive core instruction. This session will provide knowledge and strategies for teaching social skills, including empathy.
