Strategies for Developing Writing Pieces with students with Moderate to Severe Disabilities 9/29/16

Target Audience: All School Staff

Description:  Developing written products (research papers, opinion pieces, narratives, informative pieces, etc.) can be difficult for all students.  For students with moderate to severe disabilities developing a writing piece can feel beyond realistic.  There are two parts to developing a written piece; the development of thought, and the physical development of the piece of work.  This session will provide strategies for each part of developing written pieces of work.  Time will be allotted for participants to develop materials that can be used to implement the presented strategies.

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
