Cadre for New Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments 8-31-16

Target Audience: Newly hired Teacher of he Visually Impaired

Description:

This cadre will be a series of orientation sessions that will focus on the unique roles and responsibilities of teachers of the visually impaired.  Topics will include Expanded Core Curriculum, caseload analysis, Data Collection Instrument, guidance document overview for VI specifics, assessment process (FVLMA), and policy and procedures for all KSB Outreach Services (Mentoring, KIMRC, Short Term, Clinical Low Vision Evaluations, etc.).

Dates of sessions August 31, October 18, December 13 and January 25.  Registration is required for each session.

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
