Simple Solutions for Students Struggling with Handwriting, (AM) 6-9-16

Speaker: Joyce Peet

Target Audience: Occupational Therapists, General and Special Education teachers

Description:  Handwriting is a multifaceted task that requires the use and coordination of many cognitive, motor and sensory processes. Due to its complexities, many students find handwriting challenging and teachers struggle to find sensible methods that can be embedded into their curriculum. This session will provide an overview of evidence based handwriting instruction and interventions.  Both materials and strategies that are doable within a busy school day will be presented.  Practice in using the materials and techniques will be embedded into the session.
