Target Audience: K-5 Classroom Teachers
Description: This session will provide participants the opportunity to examine various types of children’s literature and reading resources that connect to elementary social studies standards. Participants will interact with multiple reading strategies that will enable their students to more easily access content and develop and deepen their content knowledge. Participants will leave with a tool box of reading strategies that can be implemented across the curriculum as well as a resource list of children’s literature related to social studies concepts.

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.
Attendance Policy:
If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.
Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
