Teaching Students with Mental Health Disorders: No Fee for CKEC Member Districts; $35 for Non-Member

Target Audience: Teachers, guidance counselors, adminstrators, behavior coaches, school psychologists

Description:Do you struggle to reach students with mental health issues?  This session will provide “teacher friendly” descriptions of a number of common mental health disorders seen in classrooms today.  Practical strategies for reaching and teaching students who display challenging classroom behaviors.  Strategies will be presented for supporting students with Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders (Depression, Bi-Polar Disorder), Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Disruptive Behavior Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, etc.  Participants will leave with a “toolbox” of evidence-based approaches that can be implemented immediately.

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
