Guidance Counselors Kickoff-$0 members, $35 non-members 

Speaker: Christina Krantz – morning session and Christina Krantz and Charlotte Arvin – afternoon session      

Target Audience: Elementary, middle school and high school guidance counselors.

Description: The CKEC Guidance Counselor Cadres meet every other month throughout the school year. This session is a kickoff to both the Elem Cadre and the MS/HS cadre.  The morning session for the combined cadres will beBuilding Relationships with Students”. In this hands-on, interactive session stages of relationship building will be shared and participants will learn activities and strategies to build relationships with students. The afternoon session will be “OPGES for Counselors Overview”.  Participants will be provided an overview of the OPGES system. The session will cover self-reflection, student growth goals, student voice, rubrics, and professional growth plans.

GUESTS/UNREGISTERED POLICY

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
