Target Audience: All educators, including Occupational Therapists 

Description: This training will provide a look at suicide statistics in Kentucky. Participants will gain an understanding of the risk and warning signs of suicide.  Participants will also be trained in the suicide intervention QPR.  QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer -- 3 simple steps that anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans, like you, are saying "Yes" to saving the life of a student, friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor. This workshop will fulfill the requirements of Senate Bill 72 stating all occupational therapists must be trained in suicide prevention.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.
