Description: Children’s books are effective tools to use in actively and intellectually engaging students in challenging content. Participants will be provided with samples of literature and content integration. There will be opportunities for discussion and questioning to demonstrate the effectiveness of the social process in making sense collaboratively of new information. Lists of books for use in each curricular area as well as actual books will be available.

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.
Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session.
Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.
Attendance Policy:
If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.
Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
