Speaker: Mark Helton
Target Audience: Middle school teachers (general and special education), interventionists
Description: Differentiation is a word we hear a lot about in education. So, what is differentiation and how do we do it? This workshop will explore various ways to differentiate mathematics instruction using middle school content. There are many opportunities for differentiation within the class setting that will be explored throughout the day. Strategies will be modeled and participants will have time to incorporate the strategies into their future lessons. A session expectation is that participants will bring one unit of instruction to the training so that the unit can be differentiated during the course of the day.
