How can we get students to engage with higher-level tasks at the high school level? How can we help students persist when presented with a word problem or task in math class? This workshop will present strategies for addressing these challenges. The outcomes for the day include strategies to engage students in learning, using rich tasks, developing reasoning habits, and applying reading strategies to help students solve word problems.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session.
Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.
Attendance Policy:
If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.
