Target Audience: K-5 Classroom teachers, special education teachers, instructional coaches

Description: In this session participants will learn strategies for incorporating writing to learn, writing to demonstrate learning and writing for publication across the day using mentor text, mini lessons and embedded writing to learn activities.  We will explore the writing standards progressions, practice simple daily writing strategies and a variety of mentor texts for the three modes.  Participants will leave with a mentor text list and a full toolbox to energize their classroom.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.
