New Special Education Teacher Training – Basic Due Process 9-16-14

Target Audience: Newly hired special education teachers

Description:

Participants will become familiar with Federal and KY regulatory requirements for students with IEP.  Topics to be addressed include: special ed teachers roles and responsibilities in an ARC, the different types of ARC’s, categories of special education, and service delivery for students with IEP. Opportunities will be provided to discuss, role-play, and/or network with other professionals newly hired as special education teachers.

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

CKEC accepts purchase orders, checks, or money orders for payment. CKEC, for auditing purposes, can not accept cash. 

Attendance Policy: If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
