Description:
There are many opportunities to unite the classroom teaching of math and reading by finding mathematics in literature. This session, designed primarily for teachers in grades K-5, will help teachers discover ways to illuminate mathematics concepts by using storybooks as a lens to examine the math. At the end of this interactive workshop, teachers will leave with specific examples of how to make the math/literacy connection.
