Mathematics Coaching: A Framework for Instructional Change (2 Day Series) 9-18-14, 11-13-14

Speaker: Maggie McGatha

Target Audience:

Mathematics instructional coaches and administrators at all grade levels

Description:

Note: By registering for this event, you are registering for BOTH days--Sept. 18 and Nov. 13

This two-day workshop is designed to help mathematics instructional coaches at all grade levels implement the KCAS and be effective leaders of change in their schools/districts.  Day 1 will focus on a Framework for Coaching and shifting Practice within your building.  Day 2 will focus on formative assessment and analysis of student work and other data.  Participants MUST register for both days.  In order to attend Day 2, it is necessary to have attended Day 1, as it provides the framework from which we will work.   Our presenter for both days will be Dr. Maggie McGatha from U of L.  She is the co-author of the resource we will be using, a former middle school mathematics teacher, and an expert in the field of instructional coaching.
