Speaker: Sally Miracle

Target Audience:

High school staff who work with students with moderate to severe disabilities.

Description: This session will empower you to create engaging activities that focus on creating a print rich environment for students with moderate to severe disabilities using a grade level middle and/or high school literature book.  Participants will develop activities to support collaboration between the teacher, SLP, OT, PT, VI Teacher, and/or D/HH Teacher. The activities will be appropriate for all students regardless of the disability or communication level. Many of the activities will focus on the Alternate K-PREP standards.  Participants should bring a container, or back pack to store the products created in the training.  Book to be adapted is The House on Mango Street.
