Online Support Series - Education and Awareness: Oct 3 - Oct 31, 2016

from 2:00p to 3:30p (5 Weeks)

The series is conducted using a virtual meeting room.  We will be able to see and talk with each other – almost like being there in person, but you get to keep your slippers on if you like!  Details for connecting will be provided upon confirmation of your registration.

Positive Approach® to Care is now offering a five-part Online Support Series to educate and connect caregivers of a person living with dementia through a webinar format.  Led by Positive Approach® Certified Consultants and Trainers the series will run for five 90-minute weekly sessions. (Dates subject to change or modification.)

Please note:  The series is open to family members and friends. The series is not designed for professional caregivers.

Teepa Snow videos, filmed at the Lewis-Mason-Thurston Area Agency on Aging, will be viewed in each session to generate awareness, provide knowledge, and stimulate discussion. The series is progressive and includes such topics as Facing Dementia, Skills and Coping, The Long Haul, Taking Stock – Taking Care of You, and Putting it All Together.

Registration Deadline:  Sept 15th. Registration is limited to 15 individuals.

What participants need: Ability and commitment to participate in all five sessions, a quiet room, computer/laptop/mobile device, and internet and email access.

Fee:  $50.00 – includes all five sessions as well as materials to download and print.
