Burning Man and the news media, our October 26 luncheon

Ever tried to explain what Burning Man is to someone who has never been to the event?  

At this month's PRSA Program you'll have the chance to hear from the person responsible for the communications at Burning Man. This year on the playa, Media Mecca welcomed more than 300 professional media to the Burning Man, including a major rise in interest from international news media -- reporters from five continents. 

Andie Grace is the Communications Manager and Regional Network Manager for Burning Man, an annual gathering in the Black Rock Desert devoted to art, culture and free expression. Andie is part of the executive production team of the week-long event (or is it a city?); she directs its onsite press operation and participant communications. Year-round, her role is to nurture the Burning Man culture around the world and share the stories and philosophies of this emerging social movement.
