VOICES for RECOVERY - A Walk in the Park

The theme for Recovery Month September 2015 is “Join the Voices of Recovery: Visible, Vocal, and Valuable”. This pre-event honors that theme by educating and advocating for treatment and the prevention of substance abuse.  “The Walk” in the park is to highlight the benefits of families, communities, and professionals in the field coming together to share positive success stories in recovery. The walk also displays unity in the recovery community. Voices for Recovery are a collective group that includes families and friends in recovery, community groups, counselors & therapists, self-help groups, law enforcement, government officials, community mental health centers, and the general public. This event is hosted by Dream, Inc. and sponsored the Mississippi Department of Mental Health, Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Services.  There is no admission fee, so bring your kids (kid activities will be available), lawn chairs and join us in the celebration of recovery!
