Course Description: The oral manifestations of multiple dermatologic diseases may resemble each other clinically, but it is critical for providers to be able to appropriately distinguish them in order to ensure their patients receive the appropriate treatment. This seminar will review the etiology, epidemiology, clinical features, and management for common mucosal conditions that may or may not present with cutaneous manifestations. There will be an emphasis on salient features of the patient history and how to select appropriate diagnostic methods to arrive at a definitive diagnosis.
