Rain Dampens Bodies, but Not Spirit at Record-Setting Bike & Hike

Despite steady rain that cancelled portions of the 22nd annual COBYS Bike & Hike, Sunday, September 9, was a bright day for COBYS Family Services.

More than 200 supporters walked three miles through the streets of Lititz in a steady downpour. The route was revised to avoid a soggy Lititz Springs Park. By the end of the day donors had established a new income record of more than $141,000 for COBYS ministries. The figure is expected to grow.

The increase in income marked the 20th consecutive year of growth for COBYS’ signature fundraiser. Since its inception, the Bike & Hike has raised more than $1.4 million for COBYS ministries.

 Here's How It Works:

1. Register for Bike & Hike

• Pre-register - Click on the Registration Link to pay your registration fee online, or send us your paper registration form.

• Register at Bike & Hike - You can register on September 9th at Lititz Church of the Brethren

Walkers, Bicyclists and Motorcycle Passengers - Early Bird fee is $20 by September 4, $25 after that date.

Motorcyclists - Early Bird fee is $30 by September 4, $35 after that date.

2. Get Sponsorships - Ask your friends and family to support your participation and the ministries of COBYS Family Services. Raise money online or in person.

Use paper copy that was mailed to you, or download a Sponsorship Sheet (PDF or Excel). Collect cash and check sponsorships from friends and family, and bring them with you to the event.

Pay & Submit your registration fee, then click "Create my own fundraising page!". Customize your message to friends and family and begin soliciting support. These donations on credit card come directly to COBYS.

 

3. Attend Bike & Hike on September 9, starting and ending at Lititz Church of the Brethren.
