OTR @ Family Re-engagement Night
This event is an outreach opportunity at Harrison Prep School in Lakewood for families to come to the school in person, & meet staff after a 2-year Covid hiatus. In addition to school related engagements they also want families to be able to engage with community services, too. They are looking for any all resources for students and their families.

Our Family Re-engagement Night is an opportunity for parents to visit the school, meet other parents, and interact with teachers and staff that they have only seen on Teams for the last 2 years.
For the parents of most of our 6th and 7th graders this might be the first time they visit the school since even our orientation and application process is online now.
Parents will have a chance to attend up to 2 sessions to have their opinions heard about what is working and what concerns they have with safety precautions, classroom work access by Teams, what they feel is not working with the changes/additions to our teaching methods, and most importantly have the opportunity to meet with representatives of community agencies to find the resources they need to be able to take care of the needs of their families.
To be honest I need agencies with all types of resources. Our number of Families that qualify for Free or Reduced lunches went up from 51% to 64% in the last 2 years.
We need information on help with housing, utilities, food assistance, childcare, job training, job application, creating or updating a resume, how to obtain residency or citizenship, health care, vision and dental care. You name it, I need it all.
This is the first big activity that we have since the lockdown began 2 years ago and we will not be able to have another big activity until next fall, so I want to be able to provide as many resources as possible to our families.
On April 19th Community Partners will set up in the Foyer, so parents have easy access to meeting with the representatives for each agency.
