David Yocum AIA is Co-Director of his Architectural firm BLDGS in Atlanta Georgia since 2006, concurrently serving on the faculty at the Georgia Institute of Technology College of Architecture.

David received his Master of Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design with Distinction in 1997 after receiving his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College.

While with Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects Inc, in Atlanta, from 1997 – 2005, David was Project Architect for the Austin E. Knowlton School of Architecture, Ohio State University, which has received many awards including a 2010 National AIA Honor Award of Excellence.

BLDGS has recently completed the Congregation Or-Hadash Synagogue, a fine example of David’s contemporary architectural practice exploring transformative adaptive re-use, sustainability, masterful detailing and materiality.
