Fancy Cats "Psychic" Tea Party Fundraising Event

Fancy Cats Rescue Team Events Committee is excited to be hosting our 1st "Psychic" Tea Party Fundraising Event, featuring renowned animal communicator Diane Roadcap on August 24, 2013. We will offer Eight 15-minute slots for private readings with Diane, as well as 2 sessions of "group readings." In these sessions, 30 people can attend and Diane will reveal how she tunes in with animals and will give us as many messages from our pets as time will allow.

A silent auction, raffles, and entertainment are also scheduled throughout the event. You will also be delighted by an exquisite menu provided by The Catering Company of Washington which is repeatedly recognized by the Washingtonian Magazine as one of the area’s most distinguished caterers. Owner Elizabeth Petty will create a very unique Tea Party menu.

Silent Auctions items can been seen at

Pets are encouraged to attend the event for Diane's readings. Photos and close items can be a good substitution if you choose not to bring your pet or if he/she is no longer among us. The photograph of your animal does not need to be recent, but it must clearly show your animals eyes - Diane still can communicate with your pet this way.

 About Diane Roadcap

Diane RoadcapAs a child, Diane recognized that she had a deep spiritual connection with animals. Playing with a variety of animals in the wooded areas around her home outside of Washington, D.C., she discovered that she could connect with them at a soul level. This connection was confirmed at age five when her dog Blackie telepathically warned her that a poisonous snake was dangerously close to biting her. She heeded his warning and slowly backed away before it could attack her. She continued to receive communications from animals and discovered that she could easily read their needs and wants, humor and insights, aches and ailments.
Years later, Diane turned to a career in the corporate world, but she could not forget her gift. She knew she needed to serve animals and communicate on their behalf, and she wanted to teach people to respect, honor, and love them. Today, this gifted, compassionate woman provides consultations to animal lovers worldwide.
Diane can often assist in identifying animals’ illnesses and pain, and many local veterinarians respect and listen to her guidance. (Note: Diane is not a veterinarian and consulting with her does not substitute for veterinary care).
Diane can assist in resolving animals’ behavior issues, by helping their humans uncover the motivation and logic behind the behavior, and helping the animals to deal with their issues in a more acceptable way. In some instances it is actually the human who needs to make a change. Once the situation is discussed, and changes are negotiated and instituted, successful resolution is often reached. Key elements for success, however, are mutual respect and understanding.
Although Diane loves to help resolve problems between animals and their humans, she enjoys also just helping both to better understand one another, so that the human-animal bond can deepen and grow. With this growth, she says, comes understanding of the ways our animal companions enrich us spiritually.

Fancy Cats Rescue Team, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in August 1997. Fancy Cats provides a safety net for abandoned cats, those that end up at overcrowded shelters without viable options for adoption and/or or those that are otherwise unwanted. As the largest cat-centric rescue in the DC area, local shelters and other rescue groups rely on our help in emergency situations. We have placed over 18,000 cats in new homes since our inception and look forward to rescuing many more in the years to come. 100% of the proceeds of this Event will go directly to providing care for our rescued animals. We do not receive government funding nor are we affiliated with any national group. Your donation makes all the difference to a deserving feline.

Thank you and see you all there!
