Join us for a day of nurturing self-care and awakening to freedom at the beautiful Casa de Maria.
Maggie will lead a delicious yoga practice during the morning session where you will free up your physical body so that you can experience more spaciousness and flexibility. We will also practice mindfulness, walking meditation and a period of honorable silence.
In the afternoon session, Jim will teach the simple yet powerful practice from his book, end your story. Begin your life…, which helps facilitate inner freedom. You use the practice whenever you have conflict, upset, or suffering. It starts with welcoming whatever you are feeling because it is showing you where you are not yet free. Then you notice the stories around the emotions, and see that you are not the story, which comes and goes, but rather the luminous, ever-present consciousness that is always here. This work is experiential, involving dialogue and processes designed to uncover and free ourselves from the stories that keep us bound.
Come join us for a day that will be enlightening, illuminating, engaging, and fun!
Jim, a native of New Zealand, met European spiritual master Jean Klein, his teacher, in 1984. He finally awakened to freedom from the “me,” the “I,” and all his stories in the spring of 1995. He teaches at Esalen Institute, in Los Angeles, and elsewhere. He also offers private sessions. His new book, end your story. Begin your life… Mastering the Practice of Freedom (Satori Books, hardcover, $26) will be available at the workshop for $20.
