Presentation Brain Science
The afternoon program features Dr. Carmen Simon, Executive Coach and Co-Founder of REXI Media. If audiences typically forget 90% of a presentation, how do speakers control the 10% they will remember and act on? Dr. Simon will introduce you to three elements: Attention Triggers, Memory Magnets, and Decisions Drivers that will get your listeners to focus, pay attention and act on your message.
Carmen is published author and a frequent keynote speaker at conferences in the U.S. Canada, Europe and Asia. She holds doctorates in instructional technology and cognitive psychology, and uses her knowledge to offer presenters a flashlight and a magnet: one to call attention to what's important in a message, the other to make it stick to the audience's brain so they can act on it.
Geek Speak
In response to requests for more technical advice, we give you Geek Speak! This regular feature under the direction of our own Rodney Dunican will provide very short "how-to" lessons on a variety of topics that will equip you to easily use the latest and greatest technology to help you speak better and speak more often.
Optional lunch meal is not available to order. Deadline to order lunch was Tuesday, 3/3/15. This all-day event includes an optional lunchtime networking with chapter members and presenters. Or you can choose to make your own lunch arrangements and eat out.
