Israel Street Fair Schedule of Events

5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.   Israel Street Fair 

Visit  booths to learn more about Israel, participate in regional arts and crafts, sample Israeli foods, shop Judaica and much more!  Booths include:

  • Olive Oil Tasting - Stop by and sample a variety of olive oils from Israel.  Kids can plant a tree in a cup filled with grass seeds.
  • Israel Museum of Art  - Admire the Israeli art of the Bet class.
  • TASTY Shuk - Shop at our TAS Youth Group Shuk!
  • "Israel - Land of Innovation" - Get ready to be dazzled. Come learn about Israel's major innovative accomplishments. Tell us three things you learned and you will earn a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize.
  • Arts & Crafts - For children and adults! You want to be creative? We have the right project for you.  Stop by and check it out.
  • Israel: Land of Diversity - Explore Israel's culture, ethnic, religious, political, and geographical differences. Have some tea...eat some dates. Share three things you learned and we'll give you a raffle ticket for an entry into our prize drawing.
  • ECEC Booth - Stop by and have your children partake in a variety of Israeli art projects and games designed for our young children ages 2-5.
  • Israel: Your Questions Answered - Join us to review "25 Short Answers to Tough Questions About Israel." You guessed it - tell us three things you learned and we will give you a raffle ticket into our drawing for a prize.
  • Visit the Western Wall - Join the Social Action Committee and support Women of the Wall's photo campaign and fight for religious freedom. Also learn more about the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions ("BDS") movement and what you can do about it.
  • Sisterhood Boutique - Stop and shop Judaica products for family and frinds in the Sisterhood store inside the Social Hall.

5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  Film "Israel: Small Country, Big Ideas" 

Drop in anytime and join us for one of the ongoing showings of this short film which focuses on Israel's remarkable achievements, innovations, inventions, and humanitarian programs - and the contributions made to the world by this small but influential country. 

5:30 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. Israeli Dinner

Getting hungry? Join us for a delicious Israeli dinner catered by Cornucopia Catering including falafel, Chicken Kabob, hummus, salad, & dessert.  $10.00 (cash/check) or $10.50 (paypal) before April  15th. A limited number of spaces for this dinner will be available at the door ($12.00  cash or check).

5:30 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.  Pizza and Beverages 

Pizza and beverages will also be available  for purchase at the fair thanks to the Men of TAS

Join Rick and Addie Lupert for a sing-a-long including some of your favorite Israeli tunes.

6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.  Hummus Cooking Class 

Join Efrat Yakobi Gafni for a lesson on how to create a delicious hummus that everyone will love.

6:45 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Closing Ceremonies 

7:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.  Havdalah  

7:30 p.m. Movie Screening - "Refusenik" 

Join producer Stephanie Howard for a viewing of "Refusnik" - the first retrospective documentary to chronicle the thirty year movement to free Soviet Jews.  Following the movie, Stephanie will lead a discussion on the topic.
