Here's your chance to spend the day exploring one of Yakima's most beautiful and exclusive neighborhoods, the historic Linden Way.

Our one day Garden Tour will give you exclusive access to all front and most of the backyard gardens on this unique street.  Signs will mark the open gardens for this never before seen opportunity.

Celebrating its 100th birthday, the Linden Way Neighborhood was named for its mature linden trees (Tilia, also commonly called lime or basswood trees) that line the 1/4 mile long drive leading to the original Bryant House.  Rumor has it that there are over 15 varieties of lindens on this street and that they were originally brought over from Holland, inspiring the famous Dutch signage that greets you as you drive onto the lane.  The canopy of lindens cannot be missed as you pass by on Summitview Avenue.

Today the neighborhood is considered a safe haven where a house purchase is for a lifetime.  Rarely do these homes go on the market. Neighbors become permanent friends, and many relationships have developed over the years to support a close knit community where children and grandchildren remain close.

Tour Tips: Plan on spending at least two to three hours exploring all the gardens and visiting all the art and plant vendors that will be setup under the trees.  Check back for our growing list of vendors.  Beverages and light snacks will also be available for sale.

Tickets: We will forgo our traditional booklet tickets this year in favor of people wearing wristbands on the day of the Tour.  All tickets purchased offsite will be exchanged for wristbands at the Linden Way entrance at Summitview and Linden Way (N 22nd Ave). Tickets can be purchased onsite the day of the Tour, through the Arboretum in the Gift Shop or online at www.ahtrees.org, or from one of several local businesses.  People who purchases their tickets online through the Arboretum's website will exchange their printed ticket for a wristband on Tour day.

Parking: Take the shuttle!  You can park at Roosevelt Elementary School and take the little white shuttle bus to Linden Way. The shuttle will run from 10 am to 5 pm.

You can also park in nearby neighborhoods and walk over.

Bathrooms: Porta Potties will be available onsite.

All proceeds benefit the Yakima Area Arboretum.
