The outlook for federal privacy legislation: 2019 will be the year of privacy in Washington, as Congress and the Administration seek to advance a national consumer privacy law. This debate will provide opportunities, but also concessions from industry in order to gain support for state preemption. We will discuss the outlook and most critical opportunities and challenges for self-regulation and third-party digital advertising.
Preparing for the CCPA and other state legislation: The first comprehensive state consumer privacy legislation will be a game changer for third-party advertising in the U.S. We will discuss the latest developments in California and other states, and how industry is poised to comply in the absence of preemptive federal legislation.
Navigating GDPR compliance: One year after this landmark Regulation came into force, we’ll discuss what we’ve learned about enforcement and compliance, and what we can expect in the months ahead.

PLEASE JOIN US FOR THE NAI COMPLIANCE WORKSHOP, INCLUDING INFORMATION ON THE UPCOMING 2020 CODE OF CONDUCT
Please join NAI compliance staff at the Talbott Hotel on Tuesday, May 21, 1.30-4.30pm for the NAI Compliance Workshop. During this workshop we will provide members with an overview of the 2018 Code of Conduct, including key requirements for members, as well as how NAI staff interprets and enforces those requirements. We will also review the role and requirements of NAI Guidance documents addressing Cross-Device Linking, Precise Location Data, and Non-Cookie Technologies. We will also discuss the 2020 NAI Code of Conduct, which is scheduled for publication this year, and includes many changes intended to bring our self-regulatory program into the next decade. NAI staff will explain the changes in the coming Code and will take questions from workshop participants. Please note space for this event is limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
