Best Practices in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: A Panel Discussion April 15

Over the last year, we’ve all be made aware (or powerfully reminded) of the importance of diversity, inclusion, and racial equity within our organizations and our communities.  The imperative is clear: inclusion and racial equity optimizes organizational performance and societal outcomes — not only for people of color, but for everyone.  But wanting to be more inclusive and actually being more inclusive are usually two very distinct conditions.  The latter takes work: policy and system changes, education and discernment, intentionality and constant effort.

We're pleased to host an online webinar discussion on Thursday, April 15: “Best Practices in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: A Panel Discussion.”

The panel includes perspectives from five distinct sectors:

  • Ann Anaya, Chief Diversity Officer, 3M
  • Kit Brady, Vice President, Human Resources & Environment of Care, Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare
  • Dr. Joseph Lee, CEO Designate, Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation
  • Todd Olson, Equity and Training Manager, Washington County
  • Rachelle Phakitthong, Director of Curriculum and Assessment, Chippewa Valley Technical College
  • Mark Raymond, Executive Director of Human Resources, Student-Centered Thinking, Transformational Leadership, Austin Public Schools

The discussion will be moderated by Victoria Ford, DEI Collaborative Program Director at the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce (formerly DEI expert with the Wilder Foundation).

The panel will explore methods, tools, and best practices that each of these organizations is using to ensure more inclusive cultures, as well as what has worked (and what hasn’t) in improving actual results.

Most of us — as leaders, professionals, and just as people — understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion and realize that we need to make changes to improve our organizations and communities.  Come explore what different sizes and types of organizations are doing to truly move the needle on DEI.

This session is Thursday, April 15 from 8:00-9:00 CT (optional speed networking and mingling 7:45-8:00), using Zoom MEETING.  Grab your coffee and breakfast, and join us for a rich discussion.
