Process Mapping and Measuring the Right Things

Process Mapping and Measuring the Right Things
2-hour complimentary webinar

Process Simulation: First Hour
Service processes provide the greatest opportunity for improvement since many of these processes contain a lot of waste! Process Mapping demonstrates how Lean Thinking can reduce service process timelines, improve quality and delivery to schedule. Because we cannot “see” service processes like on the manufacturing floor, mapping is a key improvement tool for the services side. In this session, you will use a lean tool called Value Stream Mapping in a Process simulation exercise to map out a real service process, participate in hands on exercises, and learn about basic lean tools.

Metric Scorecard Simulation: Second Hour
What gets measured gets done!

Therefore, it is of critical importance that you “measure the right things” to get the performance you desire. Through a simple Scorecard simulation exercise, you will learn the concept of Lagging and Leading indicators. Lagging indicators are measured after the fact like for example Customer Satisfaction scores. Necessary to do but it will not tell you how well your processes are performing! Focus instead on Leading Indicators that measure the health of your processes, so you manage them appropriately to get the improvement you want! Not just any process measure but the RIGHT ones!

This webinar will be hosted by Edwin Boon, GE certified Master Black Belt and CEO of The Lean Six Sigma Company USA. Space is limited to 40 participants.  The webinar is free, and preregistration is needed.  Webinar credentials will be sent to registered participants prior to September 30th  This session is held online via Zoom with a whiteboard collaboration software.
